Ukraine Russia Delegates Fight Flag Video

On May 4, During a meeting of Black Sea nations in the Turkish capital, a Ukrainian ambassador smashed a Russian ambassador in the face after his Ukrainian flag was taken away to prevent him from photobombing a video interview with Russia's lead envoy. On his Facebook page, Olesandr Marikovski shared a video of himself beating the Russians and reclaiming the blue and yellow flag. In the Parliament building, where the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) session was taking place, a hallway is where the event occurred.

In a protest earlier in the day, some Ukrainian delegates fought with security guards who sought to remove them from the area as they shouted and waved their flags next to Russia's chief representative as she attempted to address the Assembly. The Turkish parliament published images of the disturbance on its website, and Mustafa Sentop, the chairman of the parliament, harshly criticized the incident.
