This morning Russia blamed Ukraine and said that the Country was trying to kill Russian President Vladimir Putin. As per the report, two Drones that were used to attack the president were shot down. The statement that Russia reserved the right to retaliate gave rise to the possibility that Moscow would use the purported incident as justification for escalating the 14-month-old war with Ukraine.
Putin is safe; he was not injured. Apart from that, there is no material damage to the Kremlin Building as well. About the attack, it was said as "a planned terrorist act and an attempt on the life of the President of the Russian Federation."
Moreover, the Kremlin also said, "Two unmanned vehicles were aimed at the Kremlin... the devices were put out of action," However, Putin was not on the premises at the time of the drone attack."
To this, Ukraine replied that the Country had nothing to do with the attack; they stated "Ukraine has nothing to do with drone attacks on the Kremlin," The country's presidential spokesman Mikhaylo Podolyak replied to the allegation and said, "Ukraine does not attack the Kremlin because, firstly, that does not solve any military aims," he added.
A video is also circulating on social media and Russian news channels, where pale-coloured smoke is rising behind =d the Kremlin Palace after the incident. Whereas in another video, one of the drones is also visible, just above the dome of the president's residence.
Due to this incident, the Mayor of Moscow has also declared a ban on all unauthorized Drone flights over the capital of Russia. The mayor said “drone flights would be prohibited unless a special permit had been obtained from government authorities.``
